Finally got another project marked off my list! And I am so excited about it! I have been trying to decide how I wanted to build my entrance table for a few months and finally decided I just needed to get it done and quit over thinking it! Not only that but my daughter Mary gave me the sign above it for my birthday and I purchased the clock at Goodwill and I needed somewhere to put them so it was time to quit putting it off. I made the top of the table out of pallet wood and the legs were purchased at a yard sale. I placed an old window on it for decor, just hope no one knocks it down. Now I can decorate the top to fit the seasons! I also want to do more with the wall. What do you think? I will put up pictures when I decorate for the holidays.

These are a couple of things I have been wanting to try for some time now. They only took a short time to do so not sure why I took so long to get around to it! I love my dryer balls but wanted something to soften the clothes more and I am happy with them. I like the swifter pads because I don't like using any chemical laden cleaning products and I love that both are reusable!
For the dryer sheets you only need reusable cloth towels, white vinegar and essential oils. Easy, right? Take 1 cup vinegar and pour into your jar then add 20 drops of your oil of choice, swirl to mix then add your cloths. The oils I chose were Orange and Lavender. I bought the reusable wipes at the dollar store! Throw one in the dryer with your laundry and once it's done just add it back to your jar!
Here they are looking lonely in too big of a jar! Decided to switch them to a smaller jar and use this one for the swiffer wipes.
Next are the swifter wipes. You need white vinegar, distilled water and your oil of choice. To your jar add 1 1/2 cups each of vinegar and water then add 15 drops of essential oil. I chose Orange but I am thinking that lemon or purification would have been good choices. Swirl to mix and put your cloths in, close the lid and shake to coat.
And there you go, I love knowing that not only are they free of chemicals but they are reusable too! I think I need to add a pretty chalk tag don't you think?

I just love this time of year! I love the fall colors and the crispness in the air! Fall always reminds me of when I was in college at Oregon State for some reason. Coming home to see my parents and looking forward to all the fun things we would do. And the friends from High School that would come gather at our house when everyone was home for the holidays! And of course you cannot forget about the food when you are talking about the holidays! Some of my best memories are coming in from the cold to find my mom had made us all hot cocoa and toast! So my post today is dedicated to Holiday food combined with one of my many passions, Essential Oils!
Home made Cranberry sauce and even though I am not a cranberry sauce fan you cannot have turkey without it I have heard from others anyway!
How many of you have ham for your holiday dinner! I know we do because there are actually some people who don't like Turkey, can you imagine!?
Don't forget the mashed potatoes!
And of course you must have gravy!
How about some sweet potatoes?
And don't forget to add some flavorings to that turkey!
Vegetables? Well we have to have something healthy on the table!
And the best item of all the desert, I have to tell you though I do not like Pumpkin Pie myself, shhh don't tell anyone they might accuse me of being Un-American!, but I suppose it would not be Thanksgiving without Pumpkin Pie!
